  1. Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai. He started playing cricket at the age of eleven and went on to play for his school team as well. In 1988, he was selected for an inter-school tournament where he scored a century against Shishoo Parekh Vidyamandir. A year later, he joined Shardashram Vidyamandir and played for them until 1991 when he made his first-class debut.

Virat Kohli is an Indian international cricketer who captains the national team in limited-overs cricket. After making his international debut for India in 2008 against Bangladesh, he won the 2011 World Cup under Rahul Dravid’s captaincy, becoming only the second Indian after Sunil Gavaskar to win this tournament. In 2015, Kohli was named Wisden’s Player of the Year for a third time following his performances during the 2014–15 season where he continued to score heavily in ODIs and T20s while also winning two ICC Awards (Player of the Year and ICC Test Cricketer of the Year).

He is ranked as the No.1 batsman in the world by ICC in both ODI and T20I formats. He has led from the front with his aggressive tactics and has helped India win many matches.

MS Dhoni is the captain of the Indian Cricket Team. He is considered one of the most successful captains in ODI history, having led India to numerous victories and also taking them to number one in the Test rankings. As a batsman, he has scored over 5,000 international runs with an average of over 50 in both Tests and ODIs. His performances have earned him many awards including Padma Shri (2009), ICC World Twenty20 (2010), ICC ODI Player of the Year (2010), Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World (2012) and BCCI’s Dronacharya Award (2013).

MS Dhoni is one of the greatest captains India has ever had. He took over as the captain in 2007 and led India to victory in the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in South Africa. In 2011, he became only the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to win the World Cup as a captain. Under his leadership, India won an unprecedented series against Australia at home in 2008–09 and then again in 2013-14; both were 5-0 whitewashes. As a batsman, he scored two triple centuries in Tests and a double hundred in ODIs.

Kapil Dev is one of the best batsmen ever to play cricket. He was a right-handed batsman who scored more than 10,000 runs in Tests and ODIs. He was also an excellent fielder. He played for India from 1982 to 1997 and also captained them on several occasions. However, he had a difficult time adjusting to the new ball after retirement as he struggled with his form for many years.

Kapil Dev was one of the most successful captains of India. He led them to the World Cup in 1983, which was India’s first title in world cricket. He also captained the team to victory at the Benson and Hedges World Championship of Cricket in 1985-86 and Singer Champions Trophy in 1990.

Gavaskar created a name for himself by scoring 774 runs in 4 Tests at a whopping strike rate of 154.80, including 4 hundreds and 3 fifties versus the fearsome Windies. Thereafter, he became one of the best Indian cricket team players in the world.

Gavaskar was part of the Indian team that won the 1975 World Cup in England. He also scored a hundred against Pakistan in the same year when India defeated them by 3 wickets at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). In all, he scored 11 centuries during his career as an opener.

In addition to his batting prowess, Gavaskar also excelled as a fielder, especially while fielding at backward point position where he was very accurate with his throws and catches over long distances.

He was also a very good runner between the wickets, and could run very fast between the wickets. Gavaskar’s contribution to Indian cricket is immense. He was a brilliant batsman who made his mark in international cricket during his first match against England at Lords in 1974. In that match, he scored 182 runs which was a record for any player in his first test. He went on to score 10,122 runs in Tests and 11,278 runs in ODIs. Gavaskar also holds the record of scoring most runs by an Indian batsman in Test matches with 10,122 runs.
